The largest bulk pallet nail manufacturer in the United States has announced a $5 million expansion that will create 91 full time jobs in Popular Bluff.

Mid Continent Nail Corporation, a division of Mid Continent Steel & Wire, is the largest supplier of nails to the wooden pallet and crating industry, according to a release from the Missouri Department of Economic Development.

The expansion comes as Mid Continent has been growing over the last several years. The company has added 50,000 square feet of production space for bulk nail manufacturing and 315,000 square feet for expanded collated nail production, wire drawing, trucking, dispatch, and offices.
