Missouri Business — the statewide business magazine published by the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry — has been honored with a national Award of Excellence from the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.
ACCE’s Awards for Communications Excellence recognize outstanding initiatives in four categories of chamber communications: Advertising and Marketing, Publications, Electronic, and Campaigns.
Missouri Business magazine was recognized for its relaunch in 2014. The relaunch focused the magazine on the state’s diverse business community by featuring engaging content and photography along with a revitalized online presence.
Since the relaunch of the magazine, the publication has received strong positive feedback from Missouri Chamber members, experienced quadrupled blog traffic and generated hundreds of new subscription requests.
This year’s competition drew 113 entries from across the U.S. and several from Canada.
“Chambers are often the catalyst for community advancement, and they communicate not only with their business constituents, but also with the broader populations of the towns, cities or regions they serve,” says Mick Fleming, ACCE president. “These awards spotlight excellence in content, design, execution, and most importantly, the positive outcomes chambers create as they go about the work of coordinating efforts that benefit communities.”
