Capitol repairs underway in Jefferson City

After more than a century of wear and tear, the exterior of the historic Missouri capitol building is getting much-needed restorations. In 2014, $40 million was appropriated as part of a bipartisan-supported bond package to fund the Missouri State Capitol Construction Project. The repairs will extend the life of the building, fix deteriorating stonework, and improve overall appearance and stability. Construction began in March 2018 and is expected to continue through late 2020.
